During Jay-Z’s chat earlier this week with Hot 97, Hov was basking in the glow of the successful release of his Magna Carta Holy Grail album. Along with dropping the bombshell that the release will get the vinyl treatment, Jay also revealed that he’s dropping an exclusive playable letter for his recent quick hit single, “Open Letter.”

According to a report compiled by Radio.com, former White Stripes front man Jack White’s Third Man Records imprint will be putting out the vinyl of MCHG sometime this year. Talking with Angie Martinez, the mogul opened up and spoke about White’s vinyl operation and his intentions of getting an actual traditional paper letter to play like a record.

“It’s in a letter, You can play the letter. It’s amazing,” said an excited Jay-Z.  “You open the letter and you can actually play the card like a vinyl.”

There’s no photo evidence of this playable card, but knowing Jay, this will surely be an event on par with the rest of his recent moves of late. And in case you missed it, check out our top 10 Hot 97 interview quotes post featuring the Roc Nation boss himself.
