Jay-Z is still making #newrules and new records. The Brooklyn rapper/mogul's latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, debuts at No. 1 on the album charts while breaking a Spotify record for the most first week streams in its history.

The much discussed MCHG album sold an impressive 527,000 records its first week. That's not including the one million copies the "Picasso Baby" rapper sold to Samsung in advance of its official release. Billboard reports that Hova's album is the second-biggest sales week for an album 2013, second only to his tour buddy Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which sold 968,000 units its first week in stores.

MCHG is Jay-Z's 13th No. 1 album, for which he happens to hold the record for the most No. 1's by a solo artist, and only trails the Beatles' 19 for the most ever. As for Spotify, Forbes reports that Magna Carta had 14 million full album streams just in the United States, beating out previous record setting highs from Mumford & Sons (8 million) and Daft Punk (9.5 million).

Already on the Legends of the Summer stadium tour with Timberlake, Hova will be embarking on the Magna Carta European tour that kicks off in Manchester October 3 and will last about a month.
