Nipsey Hussle counters an unfortunate, and ultimately unnecessary, run in with the police at a Trayvon Martin rally in Los Angeles yesterday (July 16) by releasing a new tune titled “Blessings.”

Neighborhood Nipsey spits from the heart on this one over emotional production by The Futuristiks and 1500 Or Nothin.

This may sound familiar, because fellow southern California rhymer, The Game, also took this beat to task on his Jesus Piece bonus track, “Blood of Christ.”

By now, it’s best to expect potent lines like “Keep them squares out my circle, n***a no rubik’s/Cause n***as learn you just to hurt you, I’m like ‘No Judas'” each time the talented rhymer graces a mic.

“Blessings” is Nipsey’s first release since he dropped a brief wave of tracks throughout May and June — he liberated a new song for every 2,ooo Twitter followers he gained. Hopefully, this means the former XXL Freshman plans to deliver The Marathon 3: Victory Lap sooner than later.

Hear “Blessings” below.
