Fans of TLC have been awaiting the upcoming biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story since it was announced earlier last year. Executive produced by surviving group members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, a quick trailer from the film hit the Internets earlier today (July 25).

Lil Mama, who plays the late Lisa “Left Eye Lopes,” is joined in the clip by KeKe Palmer in the role of Chilli and Drew Sidora as T-Boz. In an uncanny reenactment of some of the group’s zany outfits, voices and videos such as “Waterfalls,” the actresses embody the very essence of TLC.

The clip opens up with text boasting of TLC’s achievement of selling 65 million units worldwide and interspersed with the Grammy-winning track, “Creep,” then follows with the message that the trio was the best-selling female R&B group of all time. Another smash for TLC, “Scrubs,” is also featured in the brief two-minute trailer.

If there was any doubt in how the actresses would fare in their roles, the first glance certainly appears they’ve got the look down at the least.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story will be released this October.
