The Internets have a tendency to blow things out of proportion. Look at DJ Khaled's hilarious marriage proposal to Nicki Minaj for instance. Following days of banter and corresponding memes, the first lady of YMCMB opened up to Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex on the matter and a host of other things.
Nicki ensured that Khaled's advance was a joke and it was meant to be a supporting piece to the DJ's latest Suffering From Success release, "I Wanna Be With You." "Let me set the record straight," she said. "Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal y'all. He was kidding."
However, Flex, like most people, found the situation hilarious and continued to press the issue.
Seguing topics, the renowned radio personality inquired about Drake's involvement (or lack thereof) with YMCMB. Without directly implicating anyone, Nicki said cryptically "People's perception of their reality is their perception of their reality. Sometimes people make moves based on their perception of what reality is."
She continued by pledging her devotion to Lil Wayne and Cash Money, and that she's "forever indebted to them." Sounds like something's brewing in the clique. Could this add to the context of Nothing Was the Same?
