There is at least one rapper who is taking Kendrick Lamar‘s verse on Big Sean’s “Control” as a compliment. Wale is one of the artists the Compton rapper name checked and when asked about the song says he would have been offended if he hadn’t been included on that shortlist.
“I’d been offended if my name wasn’t in that sh-t,” Wale told TMZ at LAX. “So shout out to TDE and shout out to Kendrick.”
Plenty of rappers that Lamar didn’t mention have responded in kind, but it seems we shouldn’t be expecting an answer record from Wale. However, you can bet that the MMG rapper was already supremely confident before the K. Dot name drop.
“I still feel like I’m the best rapper on the planet,” added Wale with a shrug. “I feel like that. You should, too, TMZ.”
