ABC Reports Scientific Breakdown Of Twerking, Black Twitter Reacts [PHOTOS]
Perhaps it's just us, but this twerking phenomenon has definitely run its course. Just days after Miley Cyrus' laughable showing at the 2013 VMAs, ABC News reported on a Ph.D researcher's scientific report on, well, dancing.
Michelle Olson, a professor of exercise science and a certified strength and conditioning coach at Auburn University in Montgomery, Ala., described twerking as a combination of movement involving a deep squat and a pelvic tilt. But this wasn't it; she also broke down the process of how to "accurately" do so.
"You take a wide stance with your legs turned out at 10 and 2 so your hips are externally rotated," explained Olson. "Then you pulse up and down as you thrust the pelvis bone forward and back."
For one, we've never heard such an eloquent description for something that happens at just about any festive gathering you'll attend in 2013. Secondly, you know what follows ridiculous reports like this — Black Twitter attacks.
Not long after ABC's article went public, folks all over the Internets congregated under the #ABCReports trending topic. Each tweet puts a spin on a topic relating to urban communities. It's also utterly hilarious.
