The last we saw of Mendeecees Harris, the Love & Hip Hop New York cast member was in federal jail thanks to cocaine trafficking charges. Now, a bail hearing has been set for September, with Harris hoping to return to the next season of the aforementioned VH1 reality series.

The Democrat and Chronicle reports:

A federal magistrate judge Friday scheduled a Sept. 11 bail hearing for Harris, a popular member of the ensemble reality show that focuses on women involved in the hip-hop industry. Harris is engaged to one of the show’s stars, Yandy Smith, and their relationship has been a highlighted focus of numerous episodes.

Harris is one of three New York City men accused of involvement in a cocaine pipeline to Rochester. Court records show that one of the three, Ronald Walker, is scheduled to plead guilty next week.

Walker’s New York City attorney could not be reached Friday, and federal prosecutors have declined to discuss the pending plea.

So far, Harris has not pleaded guilty or been sentenced. Apparently, there is possibly some sort of deal being worked out, but no details of what that may entail have been revealed.

According to Harris’ attorney, Donald Thompson, Love & Hip Hop producers are hoping Harris will be released on bail, with the caveat that they will serve as monitors since they will be following him around with video cameras.
