Danny Brown is quietly making his competition look like lesser MCs one track at a time. Today, he drops some lyrical gems in the visual for “ODB,” which is as drug-influenced as his music.

Those who still question the hubbub surrounding the Detroit native should focus less on his animated persona, and pay closer attention to his bars. His rhyming ability relies on his well-documented affinity for mixing raw rapping with extremely raunchy humor. Think Andrew Dice Clay with a higher pitched voice and trippy disposition.

Psychedelic production courtesy of Paul White inspire lines like “Mind of a pervert/With words I submerge/On the verge of OD’ing for the sh*t that I say/But who gives a f**k, I’m still gonna do this sh*t anyway/A dirty n***a from Detroit at the end of the day.”

“ODB” will appear on Danny Brown’s forthcoming release, Old, due to release September 30 via Fool’s Gold. Check out the RuffMercy-directed video below.
