Trinidad Jame$ was among a list of artists we spoke to at the 2013 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. Our brief conversation covered a range of topics including his 10 PC Mild mixtape, why he elected to work with known producers the second time around, and most entertainingly, one of the more interesting things he saw on the “Under The Influence Of Music” tour.
The aforementioned tour was headlined by Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky, and also featured Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era. That line up promised a bevy of hi-jinks and ridiculous moments, so we thought it was fitting to ask Trinidad to speak on one of the more memorable occurrences.
“I remember in New Mexico, everybody that was standing on the lawn, they was like forget it, we just gonna run to the front,” recalled the Atlanta native. “They just bum-rushed everybody, so it was like everybody was in the front. A$AP turned them up man.”
Trinidad wipe his hands of the situation when we asked if anyone was trampled. His face said it all, though.
