Young Jeezy's Name Is Now Just "Jeezy" [VIDEO]
Fans might want the same ol' Young Jeezy, but the Atlanta rapper is making a change. The Snowman has officially dropped the "Young" from his moniker, so it's now just "Jeezy."
The "Who Dat" rapper made the announcement while he was a guest on MTV's RapFix Live on Wednesday (Sept. 4). "I'm grown now; I did enough of that," Jeezy told MTV News. "It sounds good because when I came in the game that's who I was and that was my state of mind, but I'm a grown man. Those zeros get to adding up, you gotta drop the 'young.'"
True indeed. However, considering that Jeezy, born Jay Wayne Jenkins, is 35-years-old, he's been grown for a long minute now.
Jeezy recently dropped a mixtape, #BYLUG (Boss Ya Life Up Gang), that showcases his CTE World roster of artists that includes YG and Doughboyz Cashout. Also, word is that the Snowman is planning on dropping a solo album before the year is up.
