Since Consequence released his “Black Skinhead” freestyle some months back, we’ve been vexed by the meaning be this line: “If me and Ye back rocking, it must be new rules.” Fortunately, we had an opportunity to discuss the topic with the Queens rapper at this year’s BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards.

“We’ll see what the future holds. At the end of the day, Me and Kanye have a storied history, so whatever we do, we just take it step by step,” said Cons without divulging any specifics.

He continued, “I will say that there won’t be any more shots thrown at G.O.O.D. Music. That’s over with. I’ve moved past. I wish everybody the best. I’m in a great spot and I just want to remain consistent.”

Because Cons’ last line on the aforementioned track went as follows, “It’s gonna be a cruel winter kid,” we assume that there’s more to the story than he revealed. See what the veteran MC had to say below.
