Pusha T is gearing up to deliver one of the last few anticipated albums of the year with My Name Is My Name. To build anticipation for it’s October 8 release, the veteran wordsmith debuts episode one of a testimonial series dedicated to the project.

Because fictional drug kingpin Marlo Stanfield from HBO’s The Wire has provided the title and tagline for Pusha Ton’s solo debut, it only made sense for characters from the critically acclaimed show to participate here.

Tristan Wilds (Michael Lee) and Anwan “Big G” Glover (Slim Charles) spoke on the MC’s lineage in Hip-Hop and backed his claims that your name is everything in the streets.  Activist, Washington D.C. local, and son of one of the most renowned drug lords in the city’s history, Tony Lewis Jr., also gave his thoughts.

My Name Is My Name features tracks like the menacing “Nosetalgia,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, and 11 others. Guest appearances include Rick Ross, Chris Brown, The-Dream, Jeezy, Pharrell, Future, and more.
