The Notorious B.I.G. Didn't Trust Michael Jackson Around Kids?
While it has been well documented by his friends and family that the late great Notorious B.I.G. had an impeccable sense of humor, he apparently took the safety of minors very seriously. In a hilarious story told by Lil' Cease to HOT 97 DJ Cipha Sounds, the Junior M.A.F.I.A. front man retells the time Biggie barred him from meeting Michael Jackson during a recording session.
During an appearance on Sounds' Take It Personal Hip-Hop improv comedy show, Cease recalled when B.I.G. was called to record "This Time Around" for the King Of Pop's HIStory album. As they pulled up to MJ's recording studio / guest house, the "Get Money" rapper, as expected, was overjoyed at the thought of meeting Jackson. "Oh I'm about to meet Mike, it's about to be on. I was about to style on ni---s!" the Brooklyn native gushed, accord to Cease.
At the time Cease A Leo was only 16-years-old and Michael had already been labeled by the public as a pedophile due to his infamous 1993 charges of child abuse. That drew some concern from the King Of New York which made him bar Cease from joining in his session with Jackson.
"So I'm about to walk in and B.I.G. stopped me and is like hold up where you going? I'm like what you mean; I'm coming in. He's like nah, I don't trust Michael with kids" Cease explained.
While Cease did not end up meeting Michael ("That one time in my life - my moment where I'm like about to meet MJ, I'm sitting in the truck rolling up weed.") the story is a classic that will not be soon forgotten. Peep the video below to hear his entire account.
