Jermaine Dupri Now Managing Mariah Carey, Singer Calls It A "Merger"
Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri have some major collaborative hits under their belts, including the Grammy Award winning "We Belong Together," for example. Today (Oct. 7), the music stars confirmed that they are formally joining forces with Dupri joining the former American Idol judge's management team.
"A multi-talented artist of Mariah's caliber should be doing everything imaginable. I'm sure others have said this but not the way I intend to do it. For me, it's about the execution," said Dupri via a press statement.
Carey added, "We have a bond that surpasses music. I am super excited about our merger because we have so many innovative ideas that I know will come to fruition."
The R&B diva is recording a new album called The Art of Letting Go. The LP's first single is "#Beautiful," featuring Miguel, which dropped earlier this year. According toIdolator, the new album will feature production from Mike Will Made It and Jermaine Dupri.
