There have been more arrests in the case of the SUV driver who was chased up the Henry Hudson Parkway in NYC by motorcyclists before getting beatdown in Washington Heights in front of his family. One of the men arrested yesterday was an undercover NYPD officer.

As previously reported, as many as six cops were among the bikers that got into a confrontation with Alexian Lien, who was behind the wheel of a Range Rover also carrying his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

Yesterday (Oct. 8), Detective Wojciech Braszczok, 32, a 10-year NYPD veteran was charged with riot and criminal mischief for participating in the September 29 incident. Although his lawyer denied that Braszczok was involved, sources told the Associated Press he was seen striking the Range Rover’s already damage window and kicking the vehicle on the side before leaving the scene.

Braszczok was neither carrying a badge nor a gun since he was undercover and also claims that he didn’t want to blow his cover. The officer didn’t come forward with his involvement until a few days after the incident. After the footage of him contradicting his claims that he did not participate was revealed, his union lawyer stepped down from representing him.

Another motorcyclist, Craig Wright, was also arrested and arraigned yesterday. He allegedly struck Lien through the Range Rover’s window and participated in the beatdown after the father was dragged out of the SUV. Wright’s bail has been set at $150,000.

Check image of Wright and persons of interest the NYPD is still trying to identify in the gallery.
