Remember when many a Rap fan was saying that the best MC in G-Unit wasn’t 50 Cent but Lloyd Banks? That was a long minute ago but after what seems like a hiatus, the Boy Wonder drops a new cut called “Drop A Diamond,” featuring Raekwon.
The track’s cascading keys, sturdy drums and moving chords were hooked up by Ryan Alexy. Banks and the Chef hold up their end of the bargain dropping solid bars to make the cipher complete.
The song will be finding a home on the forthcoming, DJ Drama hosted and too long in the works A.O.N. Vol.1: Failure’s No Option project. That’s as in “All Or Nothing,” and the mixtape is due out sometime before 2013 is a wrap, we think.
