Chief Keef Sentenced To 20 Days In Prison After Failed Drug Test
In news that will shock no one, Chief Keef is going back to jail. The Chicago rapper, born Keith Cozart, was sentenced to 20 days in jail after testing positive for marijuana.
The Chicago Tribune reports:
Cozart had been required to undergo random drug testing after pleading guilty to a speeding ticket he received over the summer, said Sophia Ansari, a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's office.
He was ordered to jail during a hearing at the Skokie Courthouse, Ansari said. Officials earlier said he was sentenced to 10 days.
Cozart, 18, paid $531 to settle the ticket he got after he was clocked going 110 mph behind the wheel of a BMW on the Edens Expressway at Winnetka Road in the early morning hours of May 27. He was placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to undergo random drug testing.
Sosa's legal struggle is quite prolific. The latest example of Keef's steadfast refusal to stay on the proper side of the law is missing a court date to deal with child support, which lead to a warrant for his arrest.
Today, the rapper, who recently dropped a new mixtape called Almighty So, took to Instagram to acknowledge his return trip to the bing. "Outside The Court House Turnin My Self In But F*ck It I Got Ni--as Facin More Then That ! For Sh*t Like killin Police officers," read one message. With commentary like that, we're not banking on Sosa being "rehabilitated" anytime soon.
Also, we learned that Keef uses an iPhone, Verizon is his provider and he really needs to charge its battery. Peep Chief Keef's pre-jail messages and photo in the gallery.
