Odd Future, one of Hip-Hop’s most versatile collectives, connected in the spirit of Halloween to create a short film called The Ghost of the Hotel. As the title implies, this is a good old fashioned mystery.
Familiar faces Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, L-Boy, Taco, and Jasper appear in the film. Earl boasts the starring role as “Detective Ray,” the head of a murder investigation at a local hotel. What’s initially thought to be the work of a murderer is soon inferred to be the doings of a specter, which doesn’t sit well with Ray or his partner Detective Tony (L-Boy).
As the plot thickens and Mishon (Tyler) and Donstell (Jasper) are integrated into the tale, viewers will see the crew’s farce acting make the movie awkwardly hilarious.
Maybe this is the first step of Tyler’s plan to prove will.i.am wrong. Check out The Ghost of the Hotel.
