Yo Gotti’s new album, I Am releases tomorrow (November 19) and before he went off trailblazing throughout the country, he campaigned in his own backyard of Memphis to show that he was truly a man of the people.

Fans wrapped lines around the corner of local boutique, City Gear as they patiently waited for their hero to arrive. I Am marks the first time the Tennessee titan has undergone a noticeable label push and he made sure to show his appreciation by posing for pics and signing plenty of autographs.

The album features guest appearances from fellow southerners, T.I., J. Cole and Rich Homie Quan, who the latter, went out his way to promote “their banger” on his own Instagram account.

Plenty of artists have known to strike it rich and forget their roots. The following pics in the gallery allude to the notion that Yo Gotti is not one of those artists.

Fans who weren’t privy to the in-store appearance can still pre-order I Am on iTunes now.
