Starlito hails from Nashville so his version of Thanksgiving may be different from what you’re accustomed to. For 2013’s bird holiday, he’s passing out Fried Turkey in the hood in the form of his next full-length.

It’s a second-course meal to the recently released, Cold Turkey in the same vein of E-40’s current operating system of releasing albums.

While the previous wild bird release featured his usual running partner Don Trip, this new LP is a more streamlined dose of consciousness from the 615 rapper. It boasts appearances from Yo Gotti, Kevin Gates and Young Dolph but finds Lito hammering in on more weighty issues as heard on tracks like “Still” and “Ain’t Going Back.”

But don’t think for a minute the timing of the release is just to pad the Nashville native’s pockets. It’s doubling as an ongoing campaign to give back to the people in his hometown in need of additional assistance for the holidays.

Nashville’s Kirkpatrick Community Center is currently hosting the first annual “100 Dreams Turkey Drive” where $50 can feed a 1,000 months. News media is always quick to point out rappers who have run-ins with the struggle but coverage should be just as equal when there is nobility in their movement.

The stream is available below and if you like it, he’ll sure love it if you support it on iTunes. Continue on in the gallery to see Lito unload turkeys for the people and the bonus video to “Coolin’.”
