It's clearly a Compton connection on this new track by YG Hootie called "Two Presidents," featuring TDE's Kendrick Lamar. However, rather than bigging up the dollar boys, George Washington or Benjamin Franklin, the duo embody Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
"Kendrick, Martin; Hootie, Malcolm/ I'm screaming out peace, but his chopper piece a bad outcome," chants the platinum rapper. That line pretty much sums up the direction of the track.
On one hand, you have the good kid from a m.A.A.d city representing the greener pastures of his neighborhood. Then, there's Hootie, who embodies the more militant side of things. Expect more of that sound and tone of his upcoming Destroy & Rebuild project. Hear both sides on "Two Presidents" below.
