We’re still finding jewels in classic 2Pac Skakur interviews 17 years after his untimely death. Take this 1994 discussion with Entertainment Weekly’s Benjamin Svetkey for instance.

Thank PBS Digital Studios for digging this one out of the archives, and giving it a new, animated look to boot for their Blank on Blank series. Now, the West Coast legend, immortalized in cartoon form, can be seen speaking prophetically about life and death, the media skewing the public to believe he was a rapist, and much more.

“Best case, in a cemetery; not in a cemetery — sprinkled in ashes, smoked up by my homies. I mean, that’s the worst case,” Pac replied when asked how he saw his life in 10-15 years. “Best case, a multimillionaire, owning all of this sh*t. You know what I’m saying? Because anywhere else, if I was white, I would be John Wayne.”

Sadly, the former of the two scenarios was 2Pac’s reality. Hear him speak more in the animated spot below.
