Carmelo Anthony’s New York Knicks are off to a terrible start, but his new kicks are kinda fresh, though. Today (December 11), Jordan Brand unveiled Melo’s latest signature shoe, the Jordan Melo M10.

It’s no coincidence that the shoe incorporates elements from the Jordan XX8—Flight Plate tech for responsiveness and dynamic fit tech for a lock-down fit—since storied designer Tinker Hatfield had a hand in its creation.

“Tinker and I were focused on every detail from the foot molding down to the little specs. We looked closely at the evolution over the years – what’s your inspiration from then to now – and tied that in to ten years to make this the most powerful shoe I’ve had, to-date,” said Anthony via a press release.

The Melo M10 also features molded quarter panels made with full-grain nubuck leather in the upper and features a chrome TPU heel counter that features the cursive logo made for Melo’s first Jordan shoe, 10 years ago.

At least the New York Knickerbocker has been winning off the court this year. He was recently named the brand ambassador to 50 Cent’s SMS Audio product line.

Check out Melo speak on his new shoe below, and detail photos of the model in the gallery. The Jordan Melo M10 will drop in the Black/DK Powder Blue colorway on January 4 for price of $165.
