Yesterday (December 28), news broke of the tragic murder of 22-year-old Alabama rapper Doe B. The Grand Hustle affiliate was shot down in his native Montgomery, Alabama and more details are starting to emerge about what happened.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, Doe B—born Glenn Thomas—and 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson, also of Montgomery, were shot in the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill on Highland Avenue. Formerly known as the Supper Club, yesterday Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange closed the venue, saying that the “establishment poses an imminent threat to the public’s safety” in a statement and citing its history of violence.

Besides Thomas and Johnson, who both died from their injuries, six people suffered gunshot wounds during the incident, which occurred around 1:30 am, and were transported to local hospitals. According to AllHipHop, Doe B may have been set up.

Hopefully, Doe B’s murderer, or murderers, are brought to justice.
