The eternal struggle and Flavor Flav have a blood bond neither one of them plan on breaking anytime soon, but it’s always a sad sight to see them interact.

His recent encounter with the law comes under the sad circumstances of the 54-year-old speeding on his way to his mother’s funeral, says TMZ.

Anna Drayton passed away on December 31, New Year’s Eve.

Hempstead, NY police allegedly clocked Flav going 79 mph in a 55 zone in his Hyundai and when pulled over, it was discovered he had a total of 16 suspensions on his driver’s license.

Although there’s nothing sweet about that tally, the cops eventually let him go without the hassle of a bail–not before they booked him on charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. They also found a small baggie of marijuana.

The man born William Drayton Jr. is continuing his streak of bad luck from the previous year. He fell onto hard times last June when his restaurant business crumbled and he faced charges for allegedly wielding a butcher knife while chasing his girlfriend’s son.

Yeah, it’s going to be a long year. Check the next page if you want to see the poster manchild for struggle in 2014.
