Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Same Love" is up for Song of the Year during the 2014 Grammy Awards and they're staging an enormous promotional effort during their performance.

Approximately 34 gay and straight couples--including Lewis' sister and boyfriend will exchange vows as the Seattle duo takes on the music industry's biggest night, reports the The New York Times.

The ceremony will be part of the hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's performance of their Grammy-nominated song “Same Love,” which became a marriage-equality anthem last year just as that issue was drawing intense national attention.

Mr. Lewis, the group's producer, said that the weddings “will be in our minds the ultimate statement of equality, that all the couples are entitled to the same exact thing.”

The record addresses gay rights issues and is among one of the biggest to do so in Hip-Hop music.

Queen Latifah, who has identified with being a lesbian in the past, will the officiate the ceremony and Madonna will attempt to swallow her racial struggle and play the super liberal as she sings along with the song's co-star, Mary Lambert.

Macklemore's performance on the primetime is ironic, considering a rumor surfaced that the rap Grammy Committee didn't want the "Thrift Shop" rapper nominated in their categories.
