Mobb Deep has been going strong for 20 years now and to celebrate, the duo has announced a fan-supported campaign for their upcoming studio album, The Infamous Mobb Deep. Also, Havoc and Prodigy plan to embark on a nationwide tour in March after a slight break in the action.

Hav and P joined forces with PledgeMusic, a crowdfunding site created by London musician Benji Rogers. Like many similar websites, PledgeMusic’s “direct-to-fan” approach means supporters can pay varying levels to get cool perks such as a signed copy of the new album, t-shirts, VIP listener party and much more.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost two decades since the world learned of Mobb Deep, who got their start when they were still teenagers. The QB soldiers are gracious to still be fan favorites throughout the years.

“When this all started, we would have never thought that 20 years later we would still be around making music and touring.” says Havoc. “The loyal fans who have supported Mobb Deep for two decades, as well as the new fans who are giving us the chance to still be relevant in an ever changing music landscape will definitely appreciate this PledgeMusic campaign,” adds Prodigy. “It’s a very special moment in our career.”

“Mobb Deep has a profound connection with their fans and really gives them credit to getting the group to where it is today. We are excited to be working with such talented hip-hop legends who are genuinely passionate about using the PledgeMusic platform to give back to their fans,” commented Benji Rogers, Founder & President of PledgeMusic.

To coincide with The Infamous album’s 20-years in existence, Mobb Deep will hit the road in March for their 31-date tour in the United States which kicks off in San Diego and ends in Chicago. The Infamous Mobb Deep will be the group’s 8th official release and is slated to drop some time in April.
