The NBA isn’t just an international brand, it is a universal influencer of the planet’s way of life. Basketball is one of the world’s most fastest growing sports from continent to continent and the USA’s professional players are gatekeepers to the phenom.

The Brooklyn Nets recently ventured well beyond their illustrious fortress of Barclays Center as they faced off against the Atlanta Haws in the most recent site of the Olympic Games of London, England. The game also marked the ceremonious unveiling of their new Brooklyn Bowl London, a new outpost in the O2 arena.

Jeffrey Gamblero was pegged by Frank151 to share his experience and photos with the world and his perspective was fresh and unique as the city’s Hip-Hop culture.

The Global Games Tip Off Event was hosted by Sushi Samba London at the top of the magnificent Heron Tower. DJ Premier rocked the decks for a hip-hop throw down while the home team Atlanta Hawks’ cheerleaders and Sky Team performed for the partygoers. It was amazing to meet some of my childhood heroes at this party including Dikembe Mutombo, Steve Smith, and Dominique Wilkins. We danced the night away and made sure to get photos of the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy that was on display in a glass case shining in all its majestic glory.

The place was packed with British celebs like Ellie Goulding, Paul McCartney, Kelly Brook, Cara Delevingne, and several well-known footballers. The whole experience was surreal but the best part was cheering on our Brooklyn Nets to a runaway victory!

Even though all of us reading most likely missed it, there are plenty of pictures for us to live vicariously through Jeff’s adventures. Check them out in the gallery.
