The concept of remixing a record has changed in recent years, as rappers these days simply add guest verses to the original track. However, Wale delivers a new version of “Clappers” that holds true to the definition of a remix.

A fresh beat by Hit-Boy now hosts Folarin, who rhymes alongside his MMG brethren Rick Ross and Fat Trel, as well as Atlanta’s own Young Thug. Needless to say that the song completely differs in tone now.

“There goes Justice spinning, Supper Club and 87/ Animals be cross-breeding, don’t me you see my mink is draggin (dragon),” Wale raps on the slowed down production.

“Clappers (Remix)” is the latest in a string of remixes the Grammy nominated rapper has released in recent weeks. The aforementioned songs include the “Show Me Love (Remix)” and “Royals (Remix),” both of which feature Magazeen.
