LeBron James’ Sitcom, Survivor’s Remorse Picked Up By Starz

LeBron James is already planning to tackle Hollywood headfirst with Kevin Hart in a film this year but he’s also getting his hands dirty with premium cable television.

Starz announced today, February 5, that the NBA’s reigning MVP will serve as the executive producer for his upcoming sitcom, Survivor’s Remorse.

Via NBA.com:

The story follows Cam Calloway, a basketball phenom in his early twenties who is thrust into prominence after signing a multi-million-dollar contract with a pro team in Atlanta.

The series will shoot in Atlanta. Its six-episode first season airs this fall.

The network did not announce any cast members.

Veteran producer Tom Werner of Roseanne and The Cosby Show fame and Yes, Dear actor Mike O’Malley will also come on board for the series. Although LeBron isn’t slated to appear on-screen just yet, his boldness to rap during public karoake suggest that he’s not battling stage fright.
