The Internets have spoken, and many will say that Isaiah Rashad came out of the corner swinging with Cilvia Demo. Today, TDE released a short documentary that gives the project a little added context.

Rashad, 22, takes viewers back to his hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn. “When you from where I’m from, you can’t even dream to come out to LA. You can’t, because LA rent is $1000, $2000 my n***a,” the newcomer said. Clearly, things have changed for him since joining the dominant West Coast collective.

However, Rashad is very candid in saying that he’s “conflicted,” because he’s getting acclimated to life as a potential rap star and fatherhood at the same time. That’s some heavy stuff. “It kind of f**ks me up a good portion on the time,” he says about being absent from his son’s day to day life. “I’m new to it. It’s my first son. It’s my only son, so I kind of want to be there to see all the crazy sh*t he does.”

Hear Isaiah Rashad speak more on Cilvia Demo, his personal life, and more in the doc below. On the flip, check out Myspace’s take of Young Spottie’s life.
