Diamond D didn’t recently revisit his Stunts, Blunts & Hip-Hop album solely for nostalgic purposes.
The Diggin’ In The Crates backbone seemingly did so to remind the public of his past and his capability when they consider his upcoming LP, titled The Diam Piece.
There are varying definitions and opinions on what all Hip-Hop entails and Diamond D is from an era where breakbeats, vinyl, intricate lyricism and a overly street demeanor dominated rap’s populus. For his forthcoming album, which he produced in its entirety, the O.G. rapper is looking to bring something old to a completely new ballgame.
Prepare yourself for Diam Piece’s guest list. It reads like the signed wall at the Lyricist Lounge.
Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Fat Joe, Skyzoo, Rapsody, Hi-Tek, Alchemist, Pharaohe Monch, Smif-N-Wessun, eLHZi, Black Rob, Kurupt, Ras Kass, Sadat X, Scram Jones, Camp Lo, Tha Alkaholiks, Smif-N-Wessun, AG, Nottz and Kev Brown will appear on the album to lend their respective talents.
