The turn around for Pharrell’s G I R L album is unlike anything we have seen from the renowned producer. After last week’s announcement about the release, the Neptune affiliate shocks fans again by streaming the project guilt free via iTunes Radio.
Skateboard P delivered a 10-song project that includes the mega hit “Happy,” which originally appeared on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack in 2013. With that record leading the charge, the producer says this is far from a rap album unlike his 2006 solo debut In My Mind.
Guest appearances come far and in between, but include Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, and Miley Cyrus. G I R L officially releases on March 3 following Pharrell’s performance at the Oscars a day prior.
