Social media and struggle thugs don’t mix unless you’re a law enforcement agent looking for an easy score.
The New York Police Department finally finished the job they started in 2012 by busting the rest of the notorious Bronx “280” Gang, including their Moses–Diamond Brown, a.k.a. ‘Debo’, aka ‘Bo Gotti,’ and his top lieutenants Jesus Perez, a.k.a. “Juice Bambino” and Guess Carter, a.k.a. “Guess Loc.”
If their struggle nicknames were indicative enough of their low IQ’s, the manner they came across the NYPD’s radar will have you screaming “stupid” at the CPU monitor.
They were on uploading pictures of copious amounts of cash and unregistered vehicles onto Facebook and Instagram.

Investigators able to track the alleged leadership of the groups through Facebook, where alleged gang members posted photos of themselves holding stacks of money as well as pictures of new cars. The NYPD also claims it intercepted text messages from gang members.
“Reckless, wanton shootings detailed in the indictment forced innocent bystanders to take cover and neighborhoods to conduct daily business in great fear for their safety and security,” Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan said in a statement. “Targeting drug gangs involved in violence has significantly diminished shootings in these neighborhoods.”
The NYPD believes the effective crackdown on gangs were behind the drop in shootings in the precinct—there were 34 shooting incidents in 2013, compared to 51 in 2011.
Such an incriminating tactic has been a recurring trend in national news for criminals a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic as of a late. In Philadelphia, a wannabe comedian was arrested after he posted videos of himself brandishing a fake firearm; laughing as his victims became gripped with fear. And in Orlando, a thief was caught with a stolen iPhone after he uploaded a “selfie” holding the Apple goodness.
