Pharrell Williams didn’t take home an Academy Award last night, but he’s still winning. Last night’s ( March 2) Oscars ceremony added to what has become one of the best runs in Williams’ career to date.

For more than a decade Skateboard P and N.E.R.D. partner Chad Huge have crafted heaters for everybody from The Clipse to Britney Spears. In between all of that, Williams launched a solo career, and dropped his first studio album, in 2006. Earlier this month, the “Happy” singer admitted to GQ that the aforementioned album was basically trash because he was busy trying to be like Diddy and Jay Z (gotta love the honesty).

Somewhere along the way he got more in tune with his true self, and effectively took over music in 2013. The reign didn’t let up after the New Year either. It’s safe to say that 2014 is going to be another 12 months of successful music moves for Pharrell on the solo tip (he’s also producing music for T.I. and Pusha T’s new albums, respectively).

From March 2013 – March 2014, he’s clocked one victory after another. To commemorate the release of his G I R L  album –and more good things to come —  hit the galley for a look back at Pharrell’s victory timeline.
