The music portion of the SXSW festival in Austin, Tex. is officially underway. Last night, 2 Chainz surprised fans at the Def Jam 30 concert by bringing out TDE’s ScHoolboy Q to perform their Oxymoron collaboration “What They Want.”
“I’m about to introduce one of the homies,” said the Hair Weave Killer before bringing Groovy Q on stage to the smooth sounds of the Mike WiLL Made It-produced track. The tandem traded the song’s first and second verses much to the crowd’s enjoyment.
This live appearance of course follows the release of the official “What They Want” visual, produced by Motion Family. Don’t be surprised if this cut gains steam on radio, and we expect the same for ScHoolboy’s “Studio.”
