A Play-By-Play Of The Richard Sherman & LeGarrette Blount Twitter Battle Over NFL’s Best Cornerback [PHOTOS]

If there was a lesson to be learned by LeGarrette Blount for arguing with Richard Sherman, it’s don’t argue against Richard Sherman’s high opinion of himself.

The former New England Patriot took to his Twitter account to congratulate his friend and longtime teammate Aqib Talib for signing a pretty hefty contract with the Denver Broncos to the tune of $57M for six years of service. Blount, who is a free agent himself, went as far as to bestow the “best corner in the game” title on Talib which rubbed Sherman the wrong way because that’s the same phrase he blurted that awarded him his newfound notoriety.

“CONGRATS TO MY BROTHER LIB!” Blount tweeted. “YOU DESERVE IT BIG BRO! THE BEST CORNER IN THE LEAGUE AND ITS TIME YOU GOT PAID LIKE IT!!”

Sherman quickly countered back, knowing the attention it would bring him replying, ““It’s all good. Hard to argue with friendship.”

The Seattle Seahawks All-Pro player is coming off a strong season where, statistically speaking, was the best player at his position and capped it off with a convincing Super Bowl win as the proverbial cherry on top. But you know what they say about opinions.

“Hes the best bruh, Blount counterattacked. “I’ve seen what he does to WR/TE in person and I’m sure you have too. Friendship aside he’s the best.”

Aqib Talib doesn’t have a Twitter account so his instant reactions were kept in private but fans and pundits all weighed in their thoughts, as both players both retweeted the ones that mirrored their opinions.

Check out the full argument in the following gallery. Who do you think is truly the best cornerback, sports fans? Let us know in the comment section below as well.

No debate. Sherman is hands down the better corner! Not even close. Talib is not the second or third or fourth best either.
