Well, this is a surprise. Of all the tracks Isaiah Rashad had to choose from, we never thought that “Heavenly Father” would be the next record from his Cilvia Demo EP to receive a visual treatment, but here it is.

The Chattanooga rapper is a long way from home in the clip. Here, he gets introspective while touring the streets of New York City on foot and in the backseat of a vehicle during a snowstorm. That’s a lot different than the warmer southern climate that he’s used to, but he makes it work as he spits heartfelt lyrics about his father and being a confused man in his 20s.

If you like what you hear in the clip below, then be sure to purchase Rashad’s debut, Cilvia Demo. It also features songs like “Ronnie Drake” and “Brad Jordan.” Peep the video for “Heavenly Father” and give us your thoughts in the comments.
