It’s become a customary practice for artists to celebrate their birthdays by releasing new music for fans. Such was the case for songbird Jhené Aiko, who released “My Afternoon Dream” to commemorate turning 26-years-old on March 16.

The song was accompanied by a video that’s as cosmic as the Key Wane production Aiko chants her message of love over. The clip is simple, yet aesthetically pleasing. It may have actually been shot on a camera phone, as it’s filtered with a simple blue visual effect.

Though the singer is nowhere to be seen, we see her daughter, Namiko, playing on the beach. Aiko’s Instagram page gives further indication that this was shot on the go while vacationing in Hawaii. Check out “My Afternoon Dream” below and find an audio version of the cut on the next page.
