Pharoahe Monch – PTSD Album Cover x Tracklist x Album Trailer [VIDEO]

If you’re a Pharoahe Monch supporter, the date of April 15 doesn’t just mean tax day to you in the slightest.

The shrewd lyricist is releasing his fourth studio album in PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and it’s shaping up to be the album of his career. It serves as a continuation from the previous project in his discography, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) and explores the aftermath of a mind’s stability following a bout with deep depression.

Pharoahe Monch recently spoke in-depth with Hip-Hop Wired and he described it as “war from a social basis in the Black communities,” if that gives any type of indicator on its topical direction.

With that, Brother Monch unveils the album’s artwork which depicts himself in the gas mask he donned on the aforementioned W.A.R., only this time the “stress” has pressing a revolver against his head. The accompanying trailer ties in the themes of “war, death and heartbreak” to darken the mood.

Check out the flip to get your first look at the PTSD album cover and its complete tracklist. Additionally there is that album trailer to get you hyped for that April 15 drop date.
