GZA took his talents to the stage at TEDxTeen in a recent talk about the benefits of scientific studies.

The Wu-Tang Clan member is a co-founder of the Science Genius program, which teaches the youth in New York City public schools how to more actively engage in the studies of science, through the art form of Hip-Hop.

Before an intimate crowd at TEDxTeen, GZA spread the brilliance of his program by detailing his childhood and the interest he had in science, suggesting that science is a way of exploring and developing a better understanding of the physical universe. He then expounded on the genesis of the curriculum championed by he and co-founder Dr. Christopher Emdin.

A bevy of his students made their way to the stage and rhymed about the theory of relativity before closing out.

Check out the video clip below to watch GZA drop jewels on real science at TEDxTeen. Look out for GZA’s forthcoming Dark Matter LP and more from the Wu.
