Paris Shop Colette Robbed By Axe & Shotgun Wielding Thieves, Fled On A Scooter
Popular Paris luxury boutique Colette was robbed by a pair axe and shotgun wielding thieves. The culprits made off with 600K euros (about $828K) in goods, but that’s only the start of the struggle.
The audacity of jux is particularly incredible considering that they left the scene in a scooter. Yes, a scooter.
The pair held up the store on the fashionable rue Saint-Honore, north of the Tuileries gardens and near the Place de Vendome, shortly after it opened at 10:00 am, investigators said.
They forced the six employees and a security guard, who were inside, to the ground before scooping up merchandise, mostly expensive watches, from showcases.
The pair then fled on a scooter with a false license plate.
No-one was hurt in the robbery which only lasted a few minutes, police said.
Just last week, Jay Z and Beyoncé were spotted shopping at the boutique which has created many collaborative items with brands like Nike, Lacoste and Goyard. Drake also drove fans into a frenzy when he stopped by in late February.
Sh*t is real in France, yo.
