An Inside the NBA co-worker of Shaquille O’Neal is presumably trying to get a quick payday after an alleged horseplay incident has morphed into an alleged assault on police documents.

Reports WSB-TV:

Channel 2’s Ryan Young obtained a police report detailing the incident, but so far, O’Neal has not been charged with anything.

Shaquille O’Neal is known for being a bigger-than-life figure who fans adore. He even claims to have a big love for law enforcement.

But now Young has learned the one-time NBA superstar and basketball commentator for TNT finds himself under investigation for what a co-worker claims happened at Turner Studios.

“(The co-worker) alleged Shaquille O’Neal tackled him to the ground causing injury to his back while they were at work at Turner Studios,” said Sgt. Greg Lyon with the Atlanta Police Department.

The incident took place on May 19 at the studios located at Techwood Drive and 10th Street.

Robert Williams went to the Atlanta Police Department and said that Shaq tackle-punched him, knocking him down and falling on top of him.

Shaq’s attorney, Dennis Roach said, “This was nothing more than horseplay. No one intended for anyone to get injured,” in a statement.

Of course the quip was countered by Williams’ attorney who stated, “We understand that the physical attack by Shaquille O’Neal upon Mr. Robert Williams is under criminal investigation. Mr. Williams is presently recovering after surgery. However the permanent injuries he received were not the result of participation in any form of ‘horseplay.'”

There is no dispute that a love tap from Shaq would result in more than just a hickey yet if the Big Fella was really on set bullying chumps for their lunch money, we would have heard about it by now.

Expect an “undisclosed settlement” announcement sooner than later.
