Although he was spotted out and about like the sun was showering candy-coated raindrops, Scandal star Columbus Short was actually arrested, booked and released for his role in giving a man a courtesy visit in the intensive care unit at the hospital.

The fight took place on March 15 and charges are likely to follow when the alleged victim gets his brain working again.

Columbus Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the show, was arrested for slugging the man at an LA restaurant earlier this month, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The fight took place during an argument at an engagement party at Gabe’s Bar and Grill, according to TMZ.

The actor allegedly got violent when the man made a comment about his wife, the site said.

Short was released on $50,000 bail.

A little bit of digging for dirt in Short’s history of violence has uncovered a muddy trail of struggle as well.

TMZ has found that in February of this year, Short went Ike Turner-mode on his wife while his 10 and 2-year-old aged children were watching. Two weeks later, he allegedly pushed her in after a heated argument reset the clock on his time spent not being The Incredible Hulk.

Also in 2010, he delivered a fade to a basketball player during a pickup game in Los Angeles. He pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace and the case was subsequently dismissed.

Somebody get this guy anger management classes stat.
