“Yeet” Dance Inspires Meme Craze On The Internets [PHOTOS]
The way we discover new dances that are popular in other regions has completely changed due to social networks. With Vine serving as the best method of discovery, the Internets have gotten wind of a new dance called the “Yeet.”
The movement is very similar to the “Nae Nae,” which became widely popular late last year to the point that it was Mercer guard Kevin Canevari’s dance of choice after his team upset Duke in the NCAA tournament a few weeks ago. While the aforementioned dance’s mainstream crossover was a collective effort that seemingly everyone joined in on, the “Yeet” (which has been a thing these last few months) became an overnight sensation due to one Dallas, Tex. boy’s proper performance.
A uniform clad kid named John, who goes by Lil Meatball, did the dance with air-guns in tow while a circle of friends applauded in admiration.
The clip has since gone viral, amassing over over 100K worth of revines, and nearly the same amount of likes, and counting. As per usual, web phenomenons like these rarely come sans a batch of hilarious memes these days. Familiarize yourself with the “Yeet” below, and peep some images of an air-gun toting Lil Meatball on the following pages.
