Spring and summer festivals harbor good music and lighthearted times. But during the height of the 2014 show season, the Broccoli City Festival, an event purposed with promoting the importance of good health and environmental protection, reemerges for a second year with big news.

Broccoli City will now be bi-coastal with shows in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, respectively. The former takes place on April 19 (Earth Day weekend) at Gateway DC, while the West Coast iteration sets up shop on May 3 at LA Mart.

“BC Fest promotes living a healthier and more environmentally sustainable lifestyle through cool and relevant campaigns,” explained Broccoli City Co-Founder Brandon McEachern. “Our message is particularly resonant in the political and entertainment capitals of the world, where BC Fest educates future leaders on making informed decisions about their health and environment.”

That said, a worthy list of performers including Cam’ron, JoJo, Just Blaze, Dizzy WrightKelela, Chuck Inglish, Chase N. CasheBJ The Chicago KidTiron & Ayomari, and more will bring flocks of attendees looking for great tunes and a little enlightenment in process.

Vashtie will host.

Diverse vendors will sell goods and services like group yoga and fitness instruction, on-site acupuncture, reikei, massages, live art instillations, sneaker cycling center at a pop up marketplace as well.
