Last night (April 23) in New York City, REVOLT held its first annual Upfront presentation at the Marquee nightclub. The music channel’s chairman, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, as well as execs and show hosts were in the building bigging up the merits of the six-month old venture.

The Bad Boy Records  stressed that young consumers no longer digested music strictly by genre. “We have a festival generation,” said Combs.

Speaking without a teleprompter, Combs stressed that REVOLT was more than just a music channel and urged brands and advertisers to “join the party.” He added, “I’m telling you we are going to be available in over a billion devices in five years.

Other presenters included REVOLT CEO Keith Clinkscales, REVOLT President Andy Schuon and Executive Vice President of Programming & Production Val Boreland, who admitted that she didn’t think a morning show would work until Diddy insisted they bring The Breakfast Club into the fold.

After the presentation, and before the afterparty kicked off, Childish Gambino and Dillon Francis performed.
