Earlier this week, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant posted artwork for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V onto Instagram, which the rapper’s manager Cortez Bryant later discredited. But a brief visual that boxer Floyd Mayweather unveiled earlier this afternoon (April 30) infers that athletes could play a major part in marketing the MCs “final LP.”

The clip shows Wayne in the studio alongside his YMCMB artist Drake. An ominous instrumental plays as the duo nod their heads unison, though what’s heard in the clip can’t be what they were actually listening to based of their rhythm. While Wayne’s next LP remains shrouded in mystery, these brief previews should definitely get fans going.

It’s also worth noting that Weezy and Drizzy’s catalog of hits speaks for itself, so we’re interested to hear what they’ve cooked up. Though no proper release date for Tha Carter V has been announced, feel free to peep the Instagram video below.
