Philadelphia will see Nicki Minaj in the near future, as the superstar is slated to perform at The Roots’ annual 4th of July Jam.
Again, the historical Benjamin Franklin Parkway will serve was the locale for a night’s worth of activities, including, but not limited to fireworks and performances. Minaj is one of a list of stars set to hit the stage at the free event. Mayor Michael Nutter also announced that Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Hudson, as well as Ariana Grande and Aloe Blacc will also be in attendance.
The Roots will serve as the house band. The show will air live on VH1 and Palladia and stream on VH1.com.
Anyone who’s ever been to the 4th of July Jam, which J. Cole, Jill Scott, Ne-Yo, and John Mayer have performed at in past years, knows it’s always packed and a good time. Let us know if you’ll be attending in the comments.
